Family psychotherapy is a form of therapy aimed at restoring balance to family functioning.

Dysfunction can be caused by:

• poor interaction between family members
• separation of parents
• tension in the family caused by misunderstandings between parents and children
• going through a crisis (presence of a chronic illness in one of the family members, substance or alcohol addiction, depression)
• communication problems, etc.
• The existence of these situations can challenge family cohesion.Family psychotherapy makes it easier to discover how these dysfunctional elements are at work in your family and where you can go to change things.

The process of psychotherapy is carried out in a safe, warm and confidential environment where the multiple parts of family relationships can be addressed and explored, thus understanding the system in which the family lives, while becoming aware of a new facet of life that is conducive to development and evolution.

In the therapeutic process, family members will rediscover themselves and experience a different kind of relationship, one based on open communication, acceptance, empathy and appreciation, which can form the basis for a new vision of family life.
