Jungian analytical psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing practitioner in training
Welcome, dear human being,
I’m Dana, a Jungian analytical psychotherapist, art therapy counselor, Somatic Experiencing practitioner in training ( finished 2nd year out of 3), daughter, wife, mother, and before all these roles I fulfill in my life, I am a human being. Out of love for people and curiosity to understand them, I took the path of psychology 12 years ago and I dedicated myself to the in-depth knowledge of the human psyche, a process supported both by graduate studies and an ongoing individual psychotherapy process.
My studies and qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest (class of 2017)
Foundational training in Jungian analytic psychotherapy at A.R.P.A (class of 2020)
License to practice analytic psychotherapy issued by the Romanian College of Psychologists in 2020
Foundational training in Phronetik art therapy (class of 2018)
Master’s degree in Psychoanalysis at Titu Maiorescu University (class of 2026)
Foundational training in trauma work through Somatic Experiencing (completed year 2 of 3)
We are born perfect, whole and free and over the years, through social interactions with various people: parents, siblings, caregivers, educators, friends, employers, lovers or business partners, out of the desire to be accepted, valued, confirmed and loved we “carve” pieces of ourselves so that we can fit into some templates that are agreed by those close to us or by society. And so, the parts of us that do not do us credit (such as the angry, envious, greedy, stingy, mean, mediocre, superficial or vulgar ego) or even resources that are trivialised by those around us (sense of humour, sense of play, creativity, sensitivity) that illustrate our uniqueness, are sent into a cone of the personality shadow. This process is a step without which the road to reintegration of our being and reconnection to our Self would be an absolute utopia.
However, paradoxically, although it is an individual journey, you cannot walk it alone. Because in life we need mirroring, we need to be shown other perspectives when we are totally immersed in our problems or when we are in a blind spot.Because sometimes it hurts but you don’t know how to put your finger on the wound, you can’t identify what the sore spot is or it is too overwhelming to go through that pain alone.Other times, you have travelled part of the way alone and you have reached a crossroad and fear or uncertainty is driving you to stay put, stuck in a moment you can’t seem to get out of.
When you choose to start your psychotherapy process, it means that at least one part of you is open and aware of the need for change.
I am here to accompany you on this journey to the depths of your soul in unconditional acceptance and with a non-judgmental attitude.
The first step in your new journey starts now, with the motivation to access this site.Dare to take time for yourself and for reconnecting with the forgotten parts of you.
I am waiting for you in my practice or in the safe space created online to get to know each other and start this beautiful journey of the soul together.
